GENGHIS KHAN - Child of the Blue Wolf
    by David 'Iddy' Wheatley
    directed by Bill Compton

Period 1204 - 1227: "According to legend we were descended from the mating of a Blue Wolf and a White Hind, the ruthless and the gentle. Never was that inheritance more surely demonstrated in one man, than it was in him."

David Wheatley's carefully researched epic tells the 800 years old story of the Mongol warrior who welded a group of warring tribes into a spiteful army that killed, pillaged, raped, destroyed and conquered on its way to creating the largest empire the world has ever known.

Genghis Khan had its World Premiere in 1994 when it was performed by YAT at the Hampton Court Theatre under the direction of David Lewsey.

    THE CAST
There are 33 named parts plus crowds and guards.
With doubling-up it can be cast with about 20 actors of which 13 actors would cover 26 named parts plus others.

In addition to the actors, there is also a requirement for a good strong crew. We have already had some interest, but we are keen to hear from anyone interested in the following positions:

    Stage Manager
    Assistant Stage Manager
    Wardrobe Assistant
    Sound
    Lighting

Remember, we always try to involve everyone who wants to take part, and newcomers are more than welcome to join us at any time. Membership is completely free and all you need to do is turn up and complete a simple membership form. If you know of anyone who may be interested in joining South-West London's premier free youth theatre company, then please pass on this information and encourage them to get in touch or by calling 0844 740 1970. The only requirement is that prospective members are aged between 16 and 25 and are able to attend rehearsals regularly.
