YAT will next meet at the Peter and Paul Centre, Teddington from 7.30pm on Mon 29th January 2024 where we will be holding an introduction evening for our Spring 2024 production, Vinegar Tom.



ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
This spring, YAT are taking on Caryl Churchill's 1976 play Vinegar Tom. Inspired by the Equal Pay Act of 1970, Vinegar Tom tells the story of witchcraft trials in 17th century England from the perspective of its victims - normal women falling prey to abuses of power, cruelty, violence and execution.

Incorporating narrative-breaking songs and real testimonies and writings from the setting, the play explores themes of gender, power and oppression and forces us to question just how much has changed.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in this production through acting, singing, dance and music, so come along and discuss how we're going to bring it to life!

We will always try to involve everyone who wants to take part, and newcomers are more than welcome to join us at any time. Membership of YAT is completely free of charge - All you need to do is turn up and complete a simple membership form. If you know of anyone who may be interested in joining, then please pass on a link and encourage them to get in touch. New members should be aged between 16 and 25, have completed their GCSEs, and be able to attend evening rehearsals regularly in Teddington.
