Our young adventurer discovers a beautiful forest that is under threat from a nasty spirit, intent on wrecking the Woodland Kingdom. With the help of the kind spirits and creatures in the wilderness the adventurer will set out to restore the peace and tranquillity of the forest once again. Can he re-unite the woodland tribes and what will he discover about his own identity?
This was a ‘promenade’ performance, moving through and taking in features of the gardens, lasting approximately 40 minutes. Suitable for all ages. Admission was completely FREE, however the four audiences raised £460 through donations for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The Boy and the Woodland Kingdomby Michael Bishop
One night, a young adventurer, inspired by his mother's bedtime stories, journeys into the woodlands near his home.
Deep in the beautiful forest, he discovers a whole world seemingly untouched by human hands. However, all is not right in this woodland kingdom.
A manipulative presence is setting out to wreak havoc among the peaceful citizens and claim the kingdom for itself.
With the help of the spirit and creatures of the wilderness, the boy decides he must try and restore peace.
Can he re-unite the woodland tribes? What will he discover about his own identity?
