Next up is an exciting project that takes YAT back outdoors, this time to Bushy Park, for some outdoor children's theatre. We have been invited to undertake the first theatrical production in the beautiful Woodland Gardens right by the Pheasantry Cafe where, if the weather is kind to us, we should be performing to lots of youngsters who visit and picnic in the Park each day.

Michael Bishop is writing us a special fairytale for the occasion: we will find out how a young adventurer discovers a beautiful forest that is under threat from a nasty spirit, intent on wrecking the woodland Kingdom. With the help of the kind spirits and creatures in the wilderness the boy will set out to restore the peace and tranquillity of the forest once again. Can he re-unite the woodland tribes? What will he discover about his own identity? These questions can be answered if you come along to the reading this Thursday.

With only six weeks to rehearse it should be a fun few weeks. If the weather is kind to us we will take some of the rehearsals outside too and Michael has a special prop and costume making day planned for everyone.

And if the weather isn't kind to us on the day – well the show must go on!
