Return To The Forbidden Planet
Wednesday 9 November - Saturday 12 November 2011...
"Shakespeare's Forgotten Rock'n'Roll Masterpiece!"
The plot follows the crew of a routine survey flight under the command of Captain Tempest. Their spaceship is drawn mysteriously to the planet D'Illyria where mad scientist Doctor Prospero and his lovely daughter Miranda are marooned.
Return to the Forbidden Planet is a Jukebox musical by Bob Carlton based on Shakespeare's The Tempest and the 1950s science fiction film Forbidden Planet (which itself drew its plot loosely from The Tempest).
This huge and exciting high energy musical features a collection of 1950s and 1960s rock and roll classics and will be performed in the Main Auditorium in Hampton Hill Playhouse and it will be directed by Bill Compton with musical direction by Colin Lewis.
On this occasion there will be only FOUR performances in the Main Auditorium of the Hampton Hill Playhouse where seating will be limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. On all nights the doors will open at 7.00pm, boarding will commence at 7:30pm and the flight will depart promptly at 7.45pm. Latecomers may not be allowed entry due to the musical nature of the performance.
