    Spring 2012 :: The Rover :: Auditions

    Monday 9 January 2012 at 7.30pm
    Collis School, Fairfax Road, Teddington

    THE ROVER
    by Aphra
    adapted by John Barton for the RSC in 1986

    This very fast paced farce is set in Carnival time in Spain. Lots of swashbuckling cavaliers, ladies in disguise, courtesans, saucy gypsies, sword fights and dancing. It needs an enthusiastic and energetic cast and there are 7 good female parts, 10 men (some of whom can be played by women) and an unlimited chorus of masquers/servants as necessary.

    It will be directed by Tina Graham and David (Idy) Wheatley. Whilst this is Tina's first play with us, she has worked with a number of other local theatre groups and schools. Idy however, has been in and working with the group since way back in the 1980's!
