    Elizabeth I - Audition Notice

    Readings and Auditions for YAT's Autumn 2008 Production of Elizabeth I by Paul Foster will begin on Monday 1 September at Collis School, Teddington at 7.30pm.

    Set in the late 1500s at the apogee of Elizabeth's reign. A touring company of Elizabethan players perform their version of "Elizabeth I" on a street platform in Shoreditch, London.

    Rehearsals will be held at Collis School on every Monday and Thursday from 7.30pm to 10.00pm. Performances will be during week commencing Monday 3 November at the Hampton Hill Playhouse.

    The production will directed by past-YAT member Ben Davies who will be assisted by a newcomer to YAT, Clare Williams. Both have directed numerous productions for other local theatre groups.

    Trivia: Elizabeth I has been performed by YAT before, just over 21 years ago featuring none other than Ben's older sister Bronwen as Catherine of France and Eileen Baker's daughter Eleanor in the role of Queen Elizabeth.

Whilst not a requirement, we also want to know of any members who are also able to play the recorder, penny whistle, flute or oboe!!! This production needs you!

    Remember, we will always try to involve everyone who wants to take part, and newcomers are more than welcome to join us at any time. Membership is completely free and all you need to do is turn up and complete a simple membership form. If you know of anyone who may be interested in joining London's premiere free youth theatre company, then please pass on a link to this notice and encourage them to get in touch with us. You need to ensure is that they are aged between 16 and 25 and able to attend rehearsals regularly.
